EMPLOYER PARTNERSHIP
The business community within Genesee and Shiawassee Counties is a key part of our service efforts. They provide meaningful employment opportunities for our clients, and can receive valuable Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) incentives for participation in Workforce Development programs.
By working with Michigan Works! Employment Services, employers can take advantage of the Michigan Talent Bank and post job openings, as well as view thousands of resumes. The Internet-based Michigan Talent Bank is a database where job seekers can post their resumes and employers can post job openings throughout Michigan.
Employers must have a valid Federal Employer Identification Number to register. Employers may contact Employment Services for registration, or simply log on at www.michworks.org and follow the instructions to register and post open positions.
Other Services include:
Employment Skills Testing and Assessments:
Only ESA endorsed tests would be used for this purpose. The endorsed instruments are Tests of Adult Basic Education (TABE), Work Keys Assessments, ONET Ability Profiler, ONET Interest Profiler, the ONET Work Importance Locator, and the ONET Work Importance Profiler.
