Chair due to absence of all WDB officers

PUBLIC COMMENT:
None

ACTION ITEMS:
The action items were postponed due to no quorum present.
IV.
BUDGET UPDATE:
Mr. QB Pittman gave a budget update.
He did a comparison of budget to actual.
He stated that there were very little funds carried in this year. He stated that CAI was able to pay all bills
on June 30, 2004. He stated that CAI is
adjusting to the budget cuts. Ms. Loving
had asked Mr. Pittman to take it further and show the Procedures for the
release of Federal Grant Funds to Career Alliance.

Office of Disability Employment Policy
(ODEP) Grant Activities: Ms. Carol
Piesko gave an update on how the grant has progressed in the past year. She recognized and introduced the ODEP
staff.

Economic & Community Development
Initiative: Ms. Nicole Taylor stated
that the Youth Build grant was submitted on July 1, 2004. The

Shiawassee Sub-Committee: Mr. Gary
Gosaynie stated that there were no action items at the meeting last
Friday. There was a service provider
update by Ms. Alicia Booker.
C. EAG Update: Mr. Gary Tower stated that the Career Initiative Annual Plan was approved on May 26, 2004. He gave an overview of the Plan and the funding received.

MDLEG Rehabilitation Services Update: Ms. Sue Howell stated that in June, she was
pleased to host the Manager from all over state for two days . She thanked Ms. Loving and stated the
managers were impressed with what is happening at CAI. She stated that they are moving toward
year-end September 30th and that 422 individuals with disabilities
were employed with jobs in

FIA Update: Ms. Denise Chamber nor her alternate was in
attendance.
