A Letter to Prospective Reviewers from the Genesee Shiawassee Michigan Works! Director of Workforce Training
I would like to welcome you to this site and thank you for your interest in reviewing proposals for Genesee Shiawassee Michigan Works! (GSMW!). The success of the peer review process depends on the willingness of qualified reviewers to share their time and expertise generously. Peer review helps GSMW! to make wise investments in workforce development and training. To implement peer review, our division depends upon our reviewer community. We solicit these reviews from respected informal peers from across the Nation. Their experience and up-to-date knowledge enable them to provide helpful advice to us on the merits of proposals and constructive comments to proposers that strengthen their projects. We ask reviewers to submit reviews via electronic mail and/or to serve on in-person panel reviews.
It is important for you to know that GSMW! reserves the right to choose reviewers.
While we are unable to assure you that you will be asked to review proposals, we do attempt to call upon as many qualified reviewers as possible, and we try to limit the number of requests that we make to any single individual, recognizing the many demands our reviewers have on their time.
Please invite your colleagues to consider reviewing. We welcome qualified reviewers from workforce development, academic and private business. Of course, Genesee and Shiawassee county employees or people associated with specific services providers can not rate for their affiliates.
